The largest medieval church in mid Wales, St Padarn’s is a substantial 13th-century cruciform building on an early monastic site at Llanbadarn Fawr, just east of Aberystwyth. Its broad central tower makes one of the more familiar views in the town. Open to visitors, and barely a mile from Aberystwyth station.
