Tywyn is a low-key seaside town on Cardigan Bay and the coast terminus of the Talyllyn, the first railway in the world to be saved and run by volunteers. In St Cadfan’s church stands the Cadfan Stone, carved with what’s reckoned the earliest known writing in the Welsh language. The station is in the town centre.
