Ye Olde Dog & Partridge is a black-and-white timber-framed landmark on the high street at Tutbury, parts of it reaching back to the fifteenth or sixteenth century. In coaching days the Liverpool–London ‘Red Rover’ changed horses here. It stands below the castle, a short walk from St Mary’s Priory Church, and Tutbury & Hatton station is under a kilometre to the north.
