The Yanwath Gate Inn is a low-beamed 17th-century dining pub in the hamlet of Yanwath, just south of Penrith. It’s often named among Cumbria’s best for food, with a serious cellar of ales and single malts to match. Worth the short trip out for a good meal after a day on the fells or a long drive up the M6. Penrith station is only a couple of kilometres to the north.
