Basecamp is a farm shop and kitchen just off the A66 outside Penrith, a good place to stock up or grab a bite as you head into the Lakes. The butchery counter is the draw, along with a deli made up fresh each day, and there’s hot food and coffee if you want to sit in. Easy parking, and handy for filling a picnic before the fells.
