The Scotsman's Pack Country Inn
The Scotsman’s Pack takes its name from the packhorse traders who once crossed here on the old Manchester–Sheffield route, and there’s been an inn on the spot for centuries. The dining room keeps a chair said to be Little John’s, whose long grave lies in Hathersage churchyard just up the road. It’s a comfortable walkers’ and climbers’ base below Stanage Edge. Hathersage station is under a kilometre away.
