The Yorkshire Bridge Inn takes its name from the old packhorse bridge nearby, said to be the last crossing of the Derwent before the Yorkshire border. Dating to the 1820s, it’s a family-run country inn with rooms just below Ladybower Dam in the Hope Valley, and makes a comfortable base for the reservoirs and the walk up to Bamford Edge. Bamford station is about 3km south.
