Bamford Edge is a gritstone escarpment on the moor above Bamford, and the reason so many photographs of Ladybower Reservoir look the way they do — the water and the Hope Valley laid out below the rocks. It’s open access land, reached by a stiff pull up from the road near the top. Bamford station sits about 2km down in the valley.
