The Miners’ Arms has stood in Eyam since 1630, taking its name from the lead-mine owners who once met here to settle claims and land rights. It’s the last pub in the village now — the same Eyam that sealed itself off during the plague of 1665 to keep the outbreak from spreading. Grindleford station is about 4km to the north-east.
