Gritstone edges with sweeping Derwent valley views.
Approximate location — this spot is pinned to the nearest village, so the exact point may be a little way off.
Curbar Edge is a gritstone escarpment above the Derwent Valley, running along the moor rim with wide views west over the fields to the hills beyond. Broken millstones lie abandoned below the crags, cut on the spot and never carted away. It joins straight onto Froggatt Edge to the north, and the walk along the top is level and open access — an easy stroll in from the lane where the two edges meet.
