A short stroll from the Chatsworth farm shop, the Devonshire Arms at Pilsley is the estate’s inn in this tiny village. The Duchess of Devonshire had a hand in the interiors — tartans, heritage colours, the odd antler chandelier — and the kitchen leans on estate produce and the farm shop next door. Chatsworth House and its park lie a mile or two off.
