The Ashford Arms reopened in 2024 after a long closure and a major refurbishment, back as a country inn with rooms in the middle of Ashford-in-the-Water. The Grade II-listed coaching inn kept its old beams and stonework through the overhaul, and the cooking has drawn most of the attention since. It’s a short walk from Sheepwash Bridge, the little packhorse crossing over the Wye.
