Fischer’s occupies a stone-built manor house on the edge of Baslow, its kitchen leaning on Derbyshire produce and its own garden for refined, seasonal cooking, with eleven individual rooms for staying over. The Peak District starts at the gate. Follow the Derwent Valley Heritage Way past the door, climb up to the gritstone of Curbar Edge, or spend the day at Chatsworth just to the south.
