The Crown is an old coaching inn on the steep high street at Pateley Bridge, the little market town at the heart of Nidderdale. An unpretentious, friendly base for exploring the dale, with the Oldest Sweet Shop in England just up the hill. Harrogate, about 18km to the south-east, is the nearest station.
