Parnham Park’s Tudor house was gutted by fire in 2017 and is now being slowly rebuilt by its current owners, so there’s no house tour to speak of. But the walled garden has reopened as a restaurant open to anyone (book ahead), and public footpaths cross the deer park via the bridge below the house — worth a detour if you’re passing rather than a destination in its own right. Crewkerne station is about 8km north.
