Ian Edwards and Rebecca Hansford planted the vines here in 2005, turning a former dairy farm at Salway Ash into one of West Dorset’s best-known wineries. They grow the classic Champagne varieties for sparkling wine, and the results have won a string of national awards. Vineyard tours run Easter to October, with drop-in tastings at the cellar door. It’s just north of Bridport; Crewkerne station is about 10km away.
