Black Cow claims to be the world’s first vodka made purely from milk — the whey left over from cheese-making, distilled and filtered until it comes out clean and smooth. Dairy farmer Jason Barber started it in 2012 on the family farm in the hills above Beaminster, using milk from grass-grazed cows. It’s a working farm rather than a visitor attraction, so tours and tastings are by arrangement only.
