Brightwell grows several grape varieties on sixteen acres near the Thames between Wallingford and Oxford — Bacchus and Dornfelder among them — and makes white, red, rosé and sparkling wine in its own winery. The cellar-door shop and weekend tours run mainly through the summer months, so check ahead before setting out. Cholsey station is about 6km to the south.
