This was the home of William Morris, Lord Nuffield, the Morris Motors founder, who lived here from 1933 until his death in 1963 and gave away most of his fortune to good causes. The house is a well-kept example of a 1930s upper-middle-class home, wrapped in an Arts-and-Crafts garden of rockeries, herbaceous borders and wildflower meadow. National Trust, paid entry, up on the Chilterns near Nuffield.
