A moated manor house behind a battlemented gatehouse, a few miles south-west of Banbury. The core is medieval, but most of what stands is Tudor, and the Fiennes family — the Lords Saye and Sele — have held it since the 15th century. Walled gardens sit inside the moat. It opens only a handful of afternoons a week through the summer season; Banbury station is about 5km to the north-east.
