St Mary’s is a big cruciform church in warm north-Oxfordshire ironstone, with a tall spire and a carved frieze of figures and grotesques running round the outside — worth a slow walk along the walls before you go in. Open to visitors. King’s Sutton station is only a couple of kilometres to the east.
