Scalpsie Bay
Local highlightScalpsie Bay curves along the west coast of Bute and is the island’s best place to watch seals — a large colony of greys hauls out on the rocks below. There’s a seal-viewpoint car park off the A844, with boards to help you pick them out, and the bay itself is a fine sandy stretch looking across to Arran. Bring binoculars, and don’t expect the seals every single visit.
