St Blane’s is a ruined 12th-century Norman chapel sitting in a sheltered green hollow near the southern tip of Bute, on the site of a much older monastery. It’s a peaceful place to walk out to, well away from the towns. Follow the signed path from Kingarth in the south of the island.
