Below the wooded ridge of Robin Hood Hill, Oxton is a small estate village north-east of Nottingham. On the ridge above sits Oldox Camp, an Iron Age hillfort whose ramparts still show among the trees. Good country for a walk up onto the hill, with wide views out over the Trent vale.
