Lealholm gathers around a green on a bend of the River Esk, with stepping stones leading across the water and wooded slopes rising behind. It’s one of the prettier Esk Valley villages, with a pub, a tearoom and a station right on the Esk Valley Line for a car-free visit. Glaisdale and Danby are near neighbours along the dale.
