Huggate is a high, exposed Wolds village set around a pond and green, with the Yorkshire Wolds Way passing through and some of the deepest dry valleys in the area close by. Its pub, the Wolds Inn, reckons itself the highest on the Wolds — a welcome sight after a long walk. Driffield is the nearest station, some way to the east.
