Londesborough Park is a landscape garden below the Wolds village of the same name, laid out from the 1670s by Robert Hooke for the 1st Lord Burlington and reworked a half-century later by the 3rd Earl with his gardener Thomas Knowlton. Lakes, cascades and long parkland avenues survive from that era, along with a 1730s kitchen garden. It’s a private estate, but snowdrop walks usually open the grounds for a few days each February — check locally for dates. The Yorkshire Wolds Way runs along its edge, with Market Weighton a short walk south.
