Outlying Cotswold hill with wide plain views.
Bredon Hill stands alone above the Vale of Evesham, an outlier of the Cotswolds separated from the main scarp, which is why its long flat top is a landmark for miles around. An 18th-century tower crowns the summit, and a big weathered rock nearby, the Banbury Stone, has drawn its own folklore. Open access and free; footpaths climb it from the ring of villages below, including Bredon on the northern side.
