St Mary’s is the largest parish church in Worcestershire, a reminder that Ripple was once a busy place on the Severn trade. Its treasure is a set of sixteen 15th-century misericords under the choir seats: twelve carve the labours of the months, ploughing through to killing the pig for winter, and the rest add oddments like the man in the moon. Open to visitors, free, about 7km north-west of Ashchurch station.
