Near the Severn below Malvern, Hanley Castle keeps almost nothing of the castle it is named for, but has an old core around its Tudor grammar school and church. The Three Kings here is a genuinely unspoilt village inn, a huddle of small beamed rooms and a long-standing favourite for cask ale.
