Great Malvern Priory began as a Benedictine house in 1085 and survived the Dissolution because the town bought it as its parish church. Inside is the largest display of 15th-century stained glass in England, along with the country’s biggest collection of medieval wall and floor tiles and a set of carved misericords that runs from mythical beasts to the labours of the months. Free to visit, and the station is a couple of minutes’ walk east.
