Part-way up the wooded slope above Great Malvern stands St Ann’s Well, a small spring house where Malvern water runs from a carved spout much as it did when the town was a Victorian water-cure resort. There’s a café in the building now, and the spring itself is free to reach on foot up the zig-zag path from the town. It makes a natural first stop on the way up to the ridge.
