Little Malvern Court sits below the southern end of the Malvern Hills, built onto the surviving 14th-century Prior’s Hall of a small Benedictine priory. Ten acres of garden fall away from the house through terraces and rooms to a chain of lakes — the monks’ old fishponds, reworked into a water garden with a little weir and cascade, and good for spring bulbs and old roses. It opens only on set afternoons in spring and early summer, with a charge. Colwall station is a couple of kilometres away over the hill.
