Cliff Force Cave is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in North Yorkshire, covering 0.98 km². It is one of 230 SSSIs in the county. It lies inside the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The closest station is Garsdale, about 9.3 km to the south-west. Other SSSIs nearby include Lovely Seat - Stainton Moor and Mallerstang-Swaledale Head.
