Coming off the Coast to Coast or the Pennine Way? The Farmers Arms at Muker is a cosy Swaledale local that has warmed generations of walkers with ale and pies. It’s the village’s one pub, tucked among stone cottages below the famous hay meadows. Nearest station is Garsdale, a long 14km to the south-west.
