Mill Gill Force is a tall single drop in a fern-hung ravine, reached by a signed field path from Askrigg — around a mile of walking, the last stretch through woodland to a railed viewpoint above the beck. It sees far fewer visitors than the big-name Dales falls, which is part of the appeal. The ground can be muddy and the final steps are steep, so mind your footing near the edge. Fullest after a spell of rain.
