Built in 1767 by John Pratt, a local lad who made his fortune as a jockey, the Kings Arms is a handsome former manor house on the cobbles at Askrigg. Fans of All Creatures Great and Small will recognise it as the Drovers Arms from the original BBC series. Log fires, ale and rooms within. Garsdale station is about 16km west.
