St Andrew’s sits on a rise above the River Ure at Aysgarth, a short walk from the famous triple falls. The building is medieval but was heavily rebuilt in 1866, and its treasure is a beautifully carved rood screen dating from around 1506 that was rescued from Jervaulx Abbey when the monasteries were dissolved. The churchyard is a big one, with over a thousand graves. Open daily. Handy to pair with a wander down to the falls themselves.
