East Gill Force is a pretty set of stepped falls beside Keld, at the head of Swaledale, where the Coast to Coast crosses the Pennine Way — so plenty of walkers pass this way. A short, easy footpath from the village drops down to the falls and the little bridge just above them. It’s a fine spot to sit with a flask and watch the water. Garsdale station is about 14km off, though most people reach here on foot.
