Reopened in 2017, this Cotswold village pub near Lechlade turns out a hearty, classic British menu alongside wood-fired dishes, with a well-chosen list of wine and beer. It makes a good pairing with a visit to William Morris’s Kelmscott Manor a few miles south, or a stretch of the Thames Path along the young river.
