William Morris is buried in this churchyard, under a plain tomb with a carved ridge-top like a small roof. The church itself is a modest limestone building among the Thames meadows, older by centuries than its famous neighbour — Morris’s country home, Kelmscott Manor, stands a short walk away. Both sit in the hamlet of Kelmscott. The church is usually open in daylight.
