The Homestead Kitchen is a small, hyper-local restaurant in a stone-built former farmhouse, run by chef-owner Peter Neville and Cecily Fearnley, who take real pride in their sourcing: fish landed at Whitby, meat from moorland farms, bread from organic flour milled locally, and fruit, veg and herbs from their own garden. It pairs well with a coastal walk, whether along the Cleveland Way or down into the sheltered cove at Runswick Bay to the north-west.
