Falling Foss is the highest waterfall in the North York Moors, tumbling through the woods of Little Beck south of Whitby, with a tea garden set right at its lip for a brew and a slice of cake. A short walk up the path is the Hermitage, a huge boulder hollowed out into a little shelter. Woodland paths lead in from the May Beck car park and can be muddy after rain. Sleights station is about 5km to the north.
