Low Sizergh Barn is a farm shop in a handsome 17th-century barn on a working dairy farm just south of Kendal, stocked with Cumbrian meat, cheese, veg and baking. Time your visit for late afternoon and you can watch the cows being milked from a gallery above the parlour while you have tea in the cafe. Shop, cafe and a short farm trail are all open to visitors, with plenty of parking, handy off the A591.
