Ye Olde Fleece is a 17th-century inn on Kendal’s Highgate, its flagged floors and beams marking it out as one of the older survivors on the town’s long main street. A characterful town-centre local for a pint and a meal, it’s an easy stop while exploring the town. The station is under a kilometre away to the north-east.
