Despite the name, Hawkshead Brewery’s Beer Hall is over in Staveley, a big glass-fronted place on Mill Yard with galleries looking down over the brewing kit. You can work through the full range of beers, grab a bite, or book onto a brewery tour. It’s open most days as a taproom, though the hours shift with the season, so it’s worth a check. Staveley station is right beside the yard, making this an easy one by train.
