Beside the coast road at Paston, near Mundesley, Stow Mill is a trim four-storey tower of 1827, unusually designed to look handsome from the start with dummy windows on the upper floors. It worked until 1930, was re-sailed in the 1980s, and now doubles as a holiday let with the mill sometimes open to look round. Its neat boat-shaped Norfolk cap is the local landmark. Happisburgh and its striped lighthouse are along the coast.
