St Mary the Virgin, Worstead
This is the village that gave worsted cloth its name. Flemish weavers settled here in the Middle Ages, and the trade in their fine wool cloth paid for St Mary’s, a tall 14th-century church begun in the 1370s, with memorial brasses to some of the weavers inside. Open access, and handy for the train — Worstead station is under a kilometre south-west.
