Nine miles of 15-inch-gauge steam track follow the river between Aylsham and Wroxham — the Bure Valley Railway, Norfolk’s longest narrow-gauge line. It opened in 1990 on the old branch trackbed, and a footpath shadows the route the whole way, so you can walk one direction and ride back. The Wroxham terminus sits next to Hoveton & Wroxham station.
