Said to be the tallest tower mill in the country, Sutton rises nine storeys above the flat land near Stalham. The present mill dates from 1862, rebuilt taller after fire destroyed its predecessor the year before, and it kept much of its machinery when work stopped in 1940. It’s privately owned and seen from outside rather than climbed. Happisburgh on the coast is a short drive north-east.
